Congratulations to the Beaumaris bowling team who last night ( 11th August 2017) won the Gwynedd Knockout Cup Final at the Llanrwst Bowling Club.
Beaumaris by beating a very strong Craig y Don team 5/3 in games and by 25 points on the combined aggregate have now won the Cup for the third time in their history. Last winning the Cup in 2007.
The team now goes forward to play in the Welsh Crown Green Club Team Finals on the 17th September.
So congratulations to captain Adam Harris and his team ( Barry Harris, Andrew Stanley, Derek Stanley, Allen Parry, Keith Bailey, Hefin Jones and Stuart Thomas ) on deserved win last night.
Coincidentally Derek Stanley at the age of 82 became the oldest player ever to have played for a team in the final.
