After a disappointing end to April 2016, the Beaumaris teams have made a great start to May.

In the North Wales Coast League, the A team recorded an 8/4 home win against Conway on the 7th and today another 8/4 win away at St Asaph A.

The B team also had an 8/4 win away at St Asaph B on the 7th and a tremendous 12 0 home win today against Bala. Ken Thomas moving up to 4th in the league aggregates winning 6 of the 7 matches played.

In the Super League the team had a disappointing 3 7 away defeat at Conway on the 10th but bounced back last Tuesday to beat Gresford 8/2 at home.

The Veterans A and B teams have also had successive wins. The A 6/3 at home to Craig y Don and away 8/1 win against Llandudno B. The B had a 7/2 win at Menai Bridge and a 5/4 home win against Llanfairfechan B.

In the Wednesday League the A team had a disappointing 3/9 away defeat to Llanfair but should have attained at least two more wins. However they bounced back this week hammering Caernarfon 11/1 at home. The B team suffered successive defeats 4/8 at home to Bethesda and 2/10 away to Benllech.

In the Anglesey League there has only been one game with the team beating Caernarfon 9/1 at home.

Must mention that John Short had a creditable win 21 14 against the legendary Noel Burrows in the Welsh Senior Teams match against Cheshire on the 1st May at the Colwyn Bay British Legion Club. The Welsh Team winning 7/5 and plus 29 at home and losing 5/7 away at Knutsford but winning the aggregate plus 9 and the overall match by plus 38 points. Unfortunately Keith Bailey lost his match but bounced back on the next day reaching the semi-final of the Colwyn Bay Open Singles Competition where he lost 21 19 to the eventual winner Lewis Scott.

Welsh Juniors (including our Daniel Owen) beat Greater Manchester Juniors on the 8th May. They won 10 2 away at the Hopwood Club in Rochdale and plus 95 on the aggregate and 12 0 at home in Brymbo and plus 139 on the aggregate.

Let's hope the second half of May will be as good for the club as the First half has been
